Update

Okay so read the last two posts for updates on the last couple months. Now I am going to begin to recap on my weeks, So I'll probably post every monday missing this upcoming monday, because I'm doing it today. This picture makes Bridger look super young I think.
Recap:
-We are continuing to paint the house. Almost done, or we like to think. I never realized how much work it would be but I love being outside working side by side with Bridger. Definitely one of my favorite things.
-We have found out this past month and weeks, Bridger's brother and wife are expecting, his sister and her husband are expecting as well as our cousins. So congrats, congrats, congrats to them :)
-My favorite past time, sketching up our house ideas. I am currently designing the room where you walk in from the front door. I call it the living room. Bridger calls it a family room. I say family rooms are the one with the TV where you hang out. Living rooms are for formal sitting and talking. Any ideas on whose right? :) It's one of our debates.
-My reward for doing something outside or a long day of cleaning or work, playing Donkey Kong Returns for Wii. I beat Super Mario for Wii. (It took me like 8 or 9 months.) It's my guilty pleasure.
-Arizona was going up in flames. We drove to Sierra Vista the other day and as we were driving back it was night and there was a fire at the base of the mountains. It was HUGE, more than a mile wide. Very eerie feeling.
-Upside to that last one. We are getting RAIN! Everyone is so grateful. (me too, means I don't have to water as much... sweet). Downside to that.. Freaky thunderstorms. I am used to normal thunderstorms where you can see lightning in the sky and you hear thunder but I never remember seeing lighting strike the ground. Last night was my first experience. Bridger and I sat in our living room with the blinds open watching it. Thankfully it was in the distance a little bit but it was crazy. The lighting was insane. It was like the whole sky lit up and you would see this lightning bolt, strike all the way to the ground. FREAKY! Maybe people are used to that. I am not.
-I saw my first gila monster. (it's like a lizard). I guess they are really mean and they like hiss and arch up and if they bite you, like in the arm, your arm starts to rot away. Fantastic. They had one in a bucket. Creepy. Consequently, last night I had a dream that I got bit but my arm just had like purple rings on it. Thankfully it didn't rot off. Phew :) Look at the picture. I guess when they eat they fill out and their tail gets the width of their body. (that's where they store stuff).
-A very happy birthday to Dalton, Bridger's younger brother and Aunt Lori. Their birthday's were yesterday and we had fun with family!
-I am lifting weights and working out with Bridger's sister Cheyanne. It kills, but we are getting stronger. She is like an energizer bunny and pushes me because most of the time I would rather not.. ha. But we have a blast.
-My new love, our dishwasher. We haven't had a dishwasher our whole married life, until we moved here. Let me tell you people totally take it for granted. Not to mention it gets our dishes like 100% cleaner than my hands. Why is that?
-I am working at the grade school next year as a teachers aide for 3rd and 4th grade. I'm so excited!! So I sent off my fingerprints this last week and turned in all my paperwork. Hopefully it comes back clear... and that I'm not a felon. Here's to hoping :)
I think that's all. Next post probably won't be as long as this one. I'm just getting back into the swing of things.
Until next time

Just stuff...

So you knew we had a puppy, but we also have the mom. No one would take the mom off of the families hands so we ended up with Maddie. Things about Maddie... She LOVES fetch, and that's even an understatement. She will bring you the ball all day long as long as you throw it for her. And even if you don't grab it she will sit there panting just staring at you. She makes the word fetch have a whole new meaning for us. :) She is the best dog. She listens, and guards the house like nobodies business. She is kind of territorial and will guard me and Bridger from everything and anything. Now we never have to worry about unwanted guests (coyotes, etc). From coming onto our land, or even getting close.
On the opposite end, remember our puppy?? He is now taller than Maddie and still has humongous paws that he hasn't grown into. He can sprint up to probably 2 miles in a dead sprint and has legs like a race horse. We've debated putting him in dog races... only kidding :) Unlike Maddie he likes EVERYONE. He looks terrifying because he is so big but all he'll do is try and give you a HUG and lick you to death. As opposed of guarding things off he likes to get to know everything. He's hilarious and hasn't realized his own size yet still! Maybe someday... He loves chewing things up, which is his favorite past time. We learned very quickly. If we leave anything chewy that he can get to it's gone or completely destroyed. He's a hoot. P.S. Our dogs and cats.... COMPLETELY hate each other. We had hope they'd be friends. But no longer. They've had run ins and the cats are like 2-0 for winning.
This past month I was able to take a vaca to Colorado. I absolutely love trips to Colorado, but everytime I WISH Bridger could come with me. I got to see my parents in a triathlon, hang out with my brother and his family, have a blast with his two adorable boys and see some friends. Some much needed city time. I am beginning to really love the country, But I need my "city fix" every so often. Not to mention, I have to see my parents. I love laughing with them and spending the much needed quality time.
Here is some crazy pictures of us in the car. My nephews are so crazy. Not to mention their car seats are HUGE. I swear each year car seats get bigger by at least an inch or two. So I squeezed in between them which got old pretty fast. But we still had a blast making faces :) I had a week well spent, but I loved coming home to Bridger and jumping into his arms. Luckily my hubby gets to take a summer vacation with me later. :) one of my favorite things to do, roadtrips with Bridger. They are full of Dill Pickle sunflower seeds, games, and dance offs. BEST THING EVER. :)

Another thing that happened these past couple months... our cats had kittens. They had four each. Ginger had all the light ones in the picture. Posh had the 3 black ones and a dark grey one we called "smokes". We named almost all of them and had a blast with them. Kittens are hilarious. They each had their own personality and we enjoyed having 8 little friends. ALTHOUGH from now on. I don't think we'll have any more kittens. It was fun, but a good one time experience. We gave all the kittens away and now just have our two cats which we are content with. Don't they look so cuddly?? Adorable. :)

Look at the post below for some house projects :)

House Projects.

Notice the end of the last post? How it says that we would be moving into our house in the next week or two?? COMPLETE JOKE we found out. :) It took like 10 times that long. But the moral of that story is we finally moved in! We absolutely love it. We bought it from the bank so it had some little quirks that we had/ have to work out. It is a huge double-wide that sits on 7 acres of land (Our favorite part). I am changing the approach I take to blogging. It is now going to hopefully be every week and include house projects that we are
doing/accomplishing. Project #1: Right after we moved in to our house I left for a vacation to Colorado to
visit my parents. (Pictures to follow) So Bridger took that week to start bringing the grass back to life and organize a little bit. I can honestly say he is a better organizer than me by 100%. You probably won't see any pictures of the inside of the house until we get it decorated exactly how we want. So as soon as I got back I woke up the next morning and tackled a huge project. There was a walkway leading up to our house. Dispersed in it were huge cement slabs, which were weird and not very attractive. So I went outside and began digging around them and prying (SP?) them up to carry or roll them in a huge pile.
After 2 hours of hard labor and sweating profusely in the hot Arizona sun I decided to take a break and return when Bridger got home when it was a little cooler. Here is a picture of my progress...
Okay... so when the hubs got home I told him of what I had done, he asked if I wanted his help. I graciously accepted because my arms and back were already feeling what I had done that morning. He proceeded to do the next half in a matter of about 30 minutes... Maybe he should've done all of it ;). Gotta love the hubs muscles. MUCH stronger than mine. So we got it all cleaned. Notice the difference in halves. Just take a guess on who did which one.

So eventually we'll make it a little cooler looking but for now this is what it turned into. The upside?? NO CHARGE. :) Those square rocks were on the
side of our house and the rocks were on our property. Free project: check.
Project #2: We are repainting our house. It was a tan with a reddish color so what did we decide to change it to? Yellow with white trim. :) Since yellow is my favorite color it just worked, and we LOVE it. So in the process we had to re-caulk everything to close it all up and paint multiple coats. We are still not done. Here is a picture with THEN and NOW.
Notice the grass we are saving in the front yard. Now it is green and almost lush enough to lay on. The painting in this picture is first coat, and not perfect. We did another coat of yellow and then touched up and brightened the white trim. We're still working on finishing it. If you haven't noticed. Bridger and I love making things our own. And seeing the potential in things. Anything can be nice if you put in sweat, hardwork, and time. This house is our main focus right now. In the future though, we have enough land that we can build a house on it. So that's what we might do sometime. But for now we love working on making this house ours.
More pictures to come when I start my job and we have the extra income to start decorating the inside. I am sketching up ideas as I write, there are a lot of decisions to be made. :)

NEW ADDITION TO THE FAMILY AND POOL PARTIES

So many of you know that we have recently got a dog. Some people in town were moving and were in a hurry to find good homes for the the two puppies they had left. So in a matter of minutes we had the cutest 10 week old puppy ever. :) Bridger picked out his name which is "Sparticus" or "Sparty" for short. At the home we are at right now he cannot stay with us so he sleeps at Bridger's mom's house, but I spend as much time possible with him during the day. He has huge paws that he falls over constantly, and he doesn't know his own size because he loves to attempt to curl up in a ball and sleep on your lap which he is getting a little too big for. :) Here are some pictures of him.

Our cats are still trying to figure out if they like him or not. At this time they still prefer him to be sleeping than anything else.
So I have finished a few more paintings, at least I think they are finished. But I might add to them later. This is the tulip, and the Hibiscus. The Hibiscus needs something a little extra I think. Any comments are welcome.

This last Saturday was my birthday. I turned 20.. so I am no longer a teenager, a bitter sweet situation. :) Bridger planned a surprise party for me. On friday night we went to Sierra Vista for some last minute shopping Bridger needed to do. We ended up getting back around 11:30 so instead of waiting to open all my presents in the morning, we waited until midnight, and I opened a couple of gifts to start off my birthday. Then we went to bed. In the morning I opened just a couple more. We went to Denny's for my free GRAND SLAM :). Then we went swimming, but the whole pool area was covered in streamers and balloons! A surprise pool party that I have always wanted. It was perfect. The weather and everything. We had fake tattoos, fun straws, and lots of hot dogs and chips. It was very very fun. After the pool party we had cake, which my friend Ashley made. IT WAS THE PERFECT CAKE!! It was bright, and covered in daisy's. I then went home and took a shower, and got ready again. When I got back we hit a pinata, played Apples to Apples, and then a couple hours of intense capture the flag. My birthday was so much fun from start to finish. I am so thankful for a great husband who planned everything just for me. He knows me so well! Here are some pictures.

For those of you who don't know we are in the process of buying our first house. We are almost done with the process hopefully! And we hope to move in in the next week or two.

Valentines Day

So this wouldn't fit on my last post. TOO MANY PICTURES!
So this last week, I made homemade chocolate candies with our friend Ashley. We made orange chocolate, mint chocolate, chocolate covered rasberries and a couple more. This was my gift to Bridger for Valentines day.

On Thursday or Friday of last week we went to Walmart, and picked out cards for each other and showed each other their cards in the store. (So we didn't have to buy them) :) So that was pretty romantic. On Sunday we went to have dinner with Ashley and her husband. It was delicious! We had steak, potatoes, salad, stuffed mushrooms, homemade jalapeno poppers, and strawberry soda. We then played games and had chocolate molten cake. Ashley is a super good cook!
On Valentines day Bridger surprised me with Daisy's (my favorite) and I made a great lunch for us. Since our anniversary is only a month away, we are saving our money to spend it on something super special for that. Overall it was a great Valentines day. Below are pictures of our lunch. The cupcakes... I'm not a baker. And only about 4 of them out of about 30 turned out. We had a grilled chicken salad and Cherry 7-up to drink.

Winter Update

So it's been a couple of months, so here's an update!
In December we spent Christmas in Denver, CO with my family. It was so great to see them and see the snow (although it didn't snow until the day right before we left). We had fun playing games and seeing the whole family. All the kids are getting so big and the Deters family is growing up so much! Here are some pictures of the snow the last couple days.

And onto January...
Nothing too exciting happened in January. Bridger and I just love spending time together. We are both taking online classes so we keep busy between that, work for the both of us, and just relaxing together. We love the Arizona sunshine. We love the little house we are renting, we have 2 cute cats, we go on bike rides and runs and anything else we can think of. Life is really just smooth sailing, nothing too complain about. We had a fun project building a cat tree for our 2 cats. Instead of going out and buying one for way more! This is the final project. Much to our pleasure our cats think it is like the coolest thing ever!

February...
Not too much in February either.. Maybe this is why I don't blog that much :) We just keep doing what we do. On my spare time I like to do crafts. My new project is a flower collage with I'm hoping 6 or 7 different types of flowers. Here is the start of it. The daisy which is my absolute favorite flower is just the beginning.

I'll try to post more as I finish them.

A Clowntastic Halloween!!

Soooo for Halloween, Bridger and I didn't really know what we were going to be until saturday morning when we decided to be CLOWNS :) So Bridger's mom helped us with our pants, which turned out perfect!!! We matched them with white shirts. We used our real hair, which is sweet! That is Cheyenne in one of the pictures. We were Jojo,Coco, and Bobo. :) We picked it out like crazy and sprayed it with sparkly green, orange, and pink hair paint. We painted our faces and this is what we came up with! :)
We went to the school for the Halloween carnival. Here are some pictures of the games we played. We had the funnest Halloween ever!
