It's been a while since our last post, so we thought we should update the blog. We have been busy working, and going to school. Our semester ended yesterday, so I finally have a minute to breath and relax, a perfect time to update :) So we had a carport on the back of our house, that only fit my car. It was built terribly and we wanted to build one that could shade both of our cars and that was more structurally sound. Bridger's dad came down for a weekend and helped Bridger a bunch. We love the carport now! It is super nice to have a place for both of our cars.
before...I thought that I had a picture of it all done, but I can't find one and it is raining outside so I might post a picture later :)
Another project! There is this little inset in our family room and I have wanted to put some shelves in them for a while. This is what it looked like before. A little cluttered and not my favorite.
All cleaned out :)Bridger built some amazing shelves for me. I love him!
Painted black and somewhat organized. But I love them.
We had our two year anniversary in March. Crazy how fast time flies and how much more in love we have fallen in the past two years. We went to San Diego for a long weekend and had so much fun! We watch the food channel all the time and so this restaurant was on one of the food shows, it was delicious, and Bridger was soooo super excited.
We went to the beach everyday. Although it wasn't very warm, we still had a blast on the beach and playing in the water. We went to the Museum of Natural History and got to draw on this skeleton board.
Bridger had a blast of course :)
One more project... We set up our pool (yay) :) we are building a deck around it out of pallets to have a little tanning deck and some protection. First off, I am soooo excited we set up our pool. One of my ultimate favorite things to do is float around in it and read a book. :) Second, my husband is the ultimate best at making something out of nothing. He is so creative and I am surprised everyday by all of the things that he can just whip out. So we're still working on this, we haven't quite finished it, but it looks awesome already.
Pallets on the ground, before we set it all up.Our grass. We have (more Bridger has) worked his butt off to get our property looking nice. Keeping grass healthy, well keeping grass at all in Arizona is a task in itself but we keep pushing our grass back, hoping to have our whole front part of our property grass. It looks awesome. Our baby trees we got last year are starting to grow which is very exciting. Summer is coming :)
Another sign of summer.... Bridger shaved his head for the first time this year, meaning it is too hot working in the tire shop to keep that huge mop of curly hair on his head. He's a stud no matter what his hair is like, so I don't mind the shaved look in the summer. PLUS it is fun to touch when it's all shaved.
I went on a trip and came home to this surprise from my husband! I was soo excited! I love playing the piano and have missed it, it is great to be able to sit down before we head to bed and play the piano. My fingers have lost some technique but I am working to get it back. It is so wonderful to have our own little piano.
I just had to add this next picture, it is our nephew Case. I love this baby! Bridger's sister lives right down the street so we are able to see and hold this sweet little boy quite often. This is when he was just born, so he is bigger now but I couldn't find a picture of him. I love this little guy!
Now that our semester is over, I have about 2 and a half weeks left of working at the school this year and then a two month break :) I am very excited to have a little break that I can do some projects and read some books! We are loving living in Arizona and we are excited that we are slowly but surely making our home ours :) I will be working at the school again next year and we are going to continue plugging along at school. As for now, we are excited to continue and finish our projects, have a little break from school and continue loving living our life. We are definitely so blessed and we are so thankful for all of those blessings :)
