It's Christmas Time :)

HALLOWEEN :) WE dressed up as nerds. Adorable, right?? Super easy costume to put together. We went to the school carnival, ate hot dogs and burgers and played some games. It was a blast!
....enough said :)
These were our pumpkins! Bridgers is on the left and mine on the right. :) Halloween was so fun, definitely a good holiday.
Close up of the shirts :)
You have to look close in this picture, but all the black dots on the ground are birds getting the worms out of the ground after rain... Kind of cool
This was one of my craft projects. It's a key holder :) I really like how it turned out. We always lost our keys, so now we have a place to organize them. Love it.
This steam engine rolled through town the other day, so the elementary school went on a little field trip and went to see it. It was super cool!
This is the picture of us there, find me :)
This is another craft. I cut out magazines and made a little cityscape. I want to make a bigger one but that will be another day :) This is in our living room.
Ginger loves to climb up in the Christmas tree. Bridger HATES it haha.
We got a pool table from a yard sale and Bridger repainted it. :) We are getting pretty good at pool, it's way fun :)
Bridger won me a bear out of "the claw" thing. This is one of the things that Bridger loves :) He's adorable and finally won this haha.
Maddie had puppies. They are adorable! She had 4 white puppies. 2 boys, 2 girls. :) They are now starting to walk around and play. The dogs really enjoy them and playing around.
Christmas tree is up and presents are under it :) Christmas is so close :) We're excited.
WE GOT A NEW SINK!!!!! It's amazing. My parents were down for Thanksgiving and my dad helped Bridger put it in. :) Our other one's handle was broke and it was a pain. So we got this as kind of an early Christmas present to ourselves :)
We have been really busy working, and school. School is almost done, and work keeps going :) There's a little update on what we've been up to. :)

Here comes FALL :)

Here is a little update on the past few months, not in chronicle order (so sorry). We went to Elephant Butte a couple weekends ago. We had a BLAST fishing and swimming. The weather was perfect and it was a nice weekend to get away. This was on the last day, sorry for my hair. It's kind of all over the place
This is us by the water, us girls had a super fun time swimming around and jumping off of rocks into the water.

A little while back we painted our living room red. We got the couches from Bridger's dad, and the paint on clearance. We absolutely love it. Now we need to get paintings and stuff to decorate it up a little bit.
A little while back we had a huge rainstorm and it flooded the roads. It was unlike anything I have ever seen. We rode around in this big yellow old army truck and looked at all of the rivers that were flooded. Definitely a fun time!
We went to a carnival and went on a ride, had some authentic carnival hot dogs (the absolute best), some french fries and looked at all of the fair animals. I had NO idea that animals were a major part of the fair. It was way fun to walk around and see all the different animals and had a fun carnival experience.
I took a week vacation to Colorado, during which we went to Time Out for Women. I got to see my Aunt Jessica, my sisters Angela, Melinda, Andrea and my brothers and their families :) It was such a good week!! The conference was very uplifting and edifying and it was GREAT to see all my siblings. :)
This is Me and Caleb, my brothers son (he's an amazing little boy!) He has crazy curly hair, and is such a sweet heart! That smile just melts your heart :)
Last but not least, the last main thing that happened lately is we went to my cousins wedding up in Phoenix. We saw a lot of my cousins and had such a good time! The wedding was beautiful and the reception was such a blast! (sorry the picture is blurry)
Last but not least... These are just random things about my husband :)
As we were driving to Phoenix the other day we started talking about things we loved as a kid. Here are some things that Bridger said and I need to know if all his "fads" were really fads. haha
These things make my husband so excited-
-Anyone heard of Slammers/pogs/or torpedoes??? He just lit up as he started talking about them and how you were the king if you had the coolest and most. I have NEVER EVER heard about any of these things. Have you? He said they were like the coolest things ever. He tried to explain how they worked... I still don't quite get them.
-Space Jam dolls. When they came out in happy meals, him and his brothers would say what characters they were. Totally made his childhood highlights :) I guess Space Jam was a little before my time, I think I've seen it maybe once in my life.. but I can't say I remember it.
-The 3 ninjas movie. I have never ever ever heard of the 3 ninjas movie. But it was a big thing in his childhood.
All of these things made him totally light up. He got SO super excited when he brought them up and they definitely made his childhood highlights. I love my husband. He is adorable.
One more thing- Does anyone say "throw a brohdi" in referring to a "donut" that you make by spinning your car, etc in a circle? Bridger says it, and I have never heard it. Anyone else refer to it as that??
That's the update :)

p.s. I LOVE fall weather. I get to wear cute jackets to work now, and boots! :) My two absolute favorite things :) So excited for fall to begin.

Nothing much

  • The past two weeks have been GREAT. Lots of Yard work, and family time. The rain has brought TONS and TONS of green. They are more weeds than anything, but they are green :) and we love that. This is behind one of our sheds that we are working on. We ripped off the front metal so it is more open and we can park the boat under it, etc. We are working on the weeds behind it. As you can see they are getting pretty tall. The dogs had a BLAST in them. :)
  • Last weekend, we spent a couple days in Thatcher. Went to the temple and relaxed.
  • Bridger's sister got sealed to her husband this weekend in Mesa, AZ. We had a blast going and spending such a special occasion with so much family.
  • I got to kiss my prince charming.....

  • and a frog :)
We walked down to the river last night. We can get to it from the back of our property. We took the dogs and got some pictures but they are on Bridger's phone so I'll post them next post maybe :)
I am continually grateful for our wonderful home and my amazing husband! We have so much making our house a home that is perfect for us. The hard work continues to pay off and we love working side by side. We are going to be decorating our living room hopefully this week so pictures will come on next post.

More rain and Ruidoso :)

SO I wrote a whole post and I did something and it deleted it all. So I'm just going to do a fast one. It is continuing to rain nearly everyday here. Mostly at night and it is so NICE!! What a blessing it is to have rain. This is a rainbow we saw the other day while we were driving one night. It crossed almost the whole sky! I started work last Tuesday and I love it so far. I am a teachers aide at the elementary school in town. It is a blast! I love working with the kids, and the teachers. It is a job I could see myself doing for a while. I really REALLY enjoy working with the kids.
On Friday we drove to Ruidoso, NM. Bridgers dad was going for the weekend so we went along. We left Friday after Bridger got off work and came back Sunday night. We spent the majority of Saturday and Sunday at the Horse Race Track. It was a lot of Fun! The horses were beautiful and we enjoyed watching the races. When we weren't at the race track we were just relaxing and playing games. We had a lot of good food that Bridger's dad cooked for us and we enjoyed having a little get away. It was so fun for us to hand out with Bridger's dad's family and his brother. We had a ball.
The phone in our room. SO COOL!

The view off of the back deck. We stayed in a condo that was surrounded by a golf course. We went golfing on Saturday evening. (My first time and I totally stunk!) It was still a blast.
Bridger and me at the race track Saturday :)
The horses.
Bridger in his golfing attire! ha
A deer by the golf course. The golf course was really cool because it went through the condo's and houses. It was hard though because you didn't want it to hit the houses. I had no problem with this has my ball hardly went 10 feet :)
Us at the race track on Sunday :) My hubby is such a stud :)
  • As many of you will notice Bridgers head is shaved! This happened for 2 reasons. Bridger has been joking around that he wanted to shave all his hair off because it makes him quite hot at work. He needed a hair cut so I started to cut his hair like I normally do and he told me to try to do a zero fade. I was doing super good and then totally messed up one side. It looked AWFUL!!! So we just shaved it all off. He's still sexy ;)
  • Bridger and I really have enjoyed this summer. With no classes we have a lot more free time. This will end in about 3 weeks. SHOOT ha. We have had a great summer traveling and we're still planning more fun weekend get aways :) It might be our new favorite thing to do. ;)

Projects and Frogs :)

This week was good! We are continually seeing our land growing and blooming. Our grass is greener and looks more lush everyday and our rose bushes are gorgeous. This is a picture of what all 4 of our bushes looked like when we had moved in. 3 of them have bloomed beautifully but we're still trying to bring this one back. We think it might not have enough sunlight during the day. So we might have to move it eventually. In the Winter we'll cut them back even more. They started to have little pink flowers blooming on them but the other day I went out to water the ones in the back and the one in the middle had these HUGE pink roses. It had a bunch of them but they were more towards the inside not so much on the outside. Its so rewarding to see the work Bridger and I have put into our property pay off and turn into something so beautiful. :) We are very pleased.
If you look at our last post you'll see one of the mesquites we were cleaning underneath. This is a different mesquite but we did the same thing to it. Notice the difference?? Hard work definitely paid off again :)
After Bridger gets of work we usually work in the yard until the sun starts to go down and the mosquito's come out. (The mosquito's are insanely attracted to me, I get a million bites a night if I forget to put on bugspray. Bridger doesn't have that problem. SOOO annoying ha). So this is the view of the sunset out of our back window. This is our backyard. We love it :). That line of trees back there is our own personal grove of mesquite trees. Then the mountains in the background. It's so picturesque. :)
Then comes the monsoon season. It has been super nice this last week or so. It rains almost everyday! I love the constant blue sky/no clouds in Arizona. But I LOVE rainy cloudy days. It's also been way nice because we haven't had to water our property. Definite BONUS :) When the rain comes, out comes the frogs. It is insane driving on the road while and after it rains. There are frogs EVERYWHERE. Most of them are small. We found this big guy on the side of the road. I hear frog legs are super tasty :) ha only kidding.
On friday, we hung out with friends and family and played a game some people called Skadush. Others called Gator Ball? I think. It is like soccer and football basically. It's super fun!! On Saturday we attended a funeral of a relative to the family. It was a very good service and a good time to see family, catch up and spend time together. Then we hung out and played video games with family and friends at our house. Sunday, we relaxed, went to church, and hung out with family. It was a great weekend :) Today is my last day of summer vacation. My plan for today is.... nothing. Ha I figure it's my last day this summer to do absolutely nothing. So I cleaned the house this morning, and and preparing for work. I start working at the elementary school tomorrow. I'm excited!! It'll be nice to work and bring in some extra income. Then we can begin decorating our house :)

Life keeps going :)

First of our projects this week was to clean our mesquite trees up that we have on our property. As you can see in this picture the bottom of the trees were full of weeds and dead stuff. Also, we had to trim the branches so that instead of growing out like a bush they grow upwards like a tree. :) Bridger did most of the hard stuff, like cutting thick branches, while I raked out all of the stuff underneath. They look a million times better and now it actually looks like we have trees instead of bushes. It's not completely done, but when it is I'll post a picture! Next, My big project I'm working on! We have a wrap around rock driveway and in the middle is this circle that is currently just dirt with rocks around it . It has a big mesquite tree and a HUGE red circular slide that has no stairs up to it. (We don't know what we're doing with it yet) ha. So I am fixing all those rocks and digging the ones out under the dirt and putting them in a better circle. Eventually we'll put grass and maybe a rope swing or something from the tree. :) When I get it done, I'll post a picture.
SOO, we got another dog. I promise we're maxed out on dogs now. We got a pure Australian Shepherd. Some people in our ward were giving them away and I went and just fell in love. (I've wanted an Australian Shepherd for the last year or so.) Her name is Athena, and she loves water. She loves to follow Maddie and Spartucus around. She's cute, and we like her a lot. I guess if we're not going to have kids right now we might as well have dogs... haha.
We are still in the process of decorating our house. This room is supposed to be our dining room, but right now it is our "sitting room". We were given the chairs by some people that we moving out of the state, and the side tables (My favorite) we found at a big yard sale. This room we have debated on putting a pool table and making it a game room or something like that.
These side tables are my absolute favorite! They're kind of rustic, but fancy. I love them. We will probably put them in our living room once we decorate it. That will hopefully be in the next month or so.
This is my last week of summer vacation before I start work. I got my fingerprints back but I have to get them done again because I was given the wrong form to fill out. So I'll get them done this week and get ready for starting work and then starting classes. Life keeps going on :)

Screaming...

This is a story about a spider... This spider is about the size of my palm, maybe a little bigger. Last night after Bridger got home from work we decided to pull some of our weeds that had grown while we were gone. So after we pulled weeds and it had gotten dark we decided to sit on our deck on our patio chairs. We do this quite regularly as we quite enjoy it :) now the real story begins.
I look over and Bridger has this Tarantula crawling up the back of his shirt. I immediately stand up and begin to scream hysterically as I run backwards pointing to the back of his shirt. Bridger looks around and starts to stand up as I yell, "There is a huge spider on your back!!!" This kind of freaked him out so he starts to pat down himself trying to get it off. Meanwhile I am patting myself down and putting my hands through my hair like crazy screaming at the top of my lungs and in midst of screaming asking Bridger, "Is there one on me?" He responds, "Is it off me??" I scream and then reply, "No!! It's still on you! " He then really freaked out and bailed off of our deck. He started to run in circles in our yard frantically trying to brush it off, I am still screaming hysterically (I literally screamed straight for 2 minutes). He then ripped off his shirt and threw it on the ground. I was still screaming. I then quieted down a little bit as Bridger asked, "What was on me??" I told him that it was a tarantula crawling up his back. He shook out his shirts and couldn't see anything. He then turned on the flashlight on his phone and started looking in the grass. He found it a couple feet away from his shirt. We then settled down a bit and Bridger said that, "I nearly gave him a heart attack." (We then decided the Tarantula was probably on the back of the chair and when he sat down it crawled up the back and onto him.)
Later in the house Bridger said I handled the situation in the wrong way and that I should have just brushed it off of him. Are you kidding me??? There was no way I was going near that!! The other way he said I should've handled it was to tell him it was a tarantula instead of a "huge spider". I guess clarifying that it was a tarantula is different than "huge spider". They are the same to me :) Bridger said it's good to have tarantula's because they eat the bugs... I can't decide which is better: bugs or pet tarantulas?? Our lovely spider friend is still somewhere in our yard by our house, but the good news is they don't bite. They are just extremely scary to look at. :) BONUS! We also have a pet toad in our front yard that likes to hand out in the long grass. So I guess our two new pets can be friends and hang out. Bridger and me both almost had heart attacks last night. Oh the wonderful wildlife of Arizona. :)
p.s. I wasn't going to post again for another week, but I figured it was a good post. :) Would you have reacted the same way I did?? I'm sure almost everyone would!
